Klaus Schwab invites 52 heads of state and nearly 600 CEOs to 'meet' at summit in Davos, Switzerland
Klaus Schwab called 52 heads of state and government and nearly 600 CEOs to an emergency meeting as the World Economic Forum hosts its annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, next week.
Forum organizers said their latest lineup for the elite gathering of political leaders, business executives, cultural trendsetters and heads of international organizations will address issues such as, "a divided world" as it begins 2023, with war and conflict, economic pressures and climate change in focus...
"There is no doubt that our 53rd annual meeting in Davos will take place against the most complex geopolitical and economic backdrop in decades," said Forum President Borge Brende, pointing to challenges such as the threat of a global recession, rising energy prices and food and how global warming will be tackled more aggressively.
Brende pointed to the "record attendance" of 52 heads of state and government, more than half of them from Europe, as well as some recently elected leaders such as President Yoon Suk Yeol of South Korea, President Gustavo Petro of Colombia and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of the Philippines. Nearly 300 government ministers were expected to attend.
The forum's chairman said some delegations asked that the names of their participants be "withheld" immediately for security reasons. Brende said, for example, that "high-level" figures from China and Ukraine would attend.
Zelensky will also address the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos alongside CNN anchors and NATO leaders.
The US will be represented by Biden administration officials, including climate envoy John Kerry, director of national intelligence Avril Haines and US trade representative Catherine Tye, as well as several governors and congressional lawmakers.
The meeting offers a host of topics discussed in hundreds of public meetings as well as more secret meetings by business leaders at the luxury hotels along the Davos Promenade, near the convention center that hosts the gathering.
The agenda includes discussions on ideas, innovations and the search for public-private cooperation on topics such as energy, climate, investment, trade, future technologies, jobs, health and social mobility, among others.
The event will host wealthy corporate executives who will fly in their private jets that emit the most pollutants.
The WEF requires 5,000 soldiers to protect them from common people
The Swiss Army will provide 5,000 soldiers to protect the elites gathering at the World Economic Forum summit in Davos and ensure they have absolutely no contact with the common people (or junk food as they call them).
Authorities said troops have been authorized to use coercive police measures to fulfill the security mission.
“Federal Parliament has set a cap of 5,000 troops to serve as support during the WEF, which runs from January 10 to 26. Some of them will be stationed directly in Davos, where the annual meeting will take place from January 16 to 20," the statement said .
Other soldiers will provide logistical support to air operations throughout Switzerland, according to the statement. Soldiers will be empowered "to use coercive police measures to carry out their respective duties," the government said.
There will also be snipers on the roofs of most buildings, and in previous years the WEF police have also deployed drones from the sky.

Klaus Schwab made the opening remarks in November at the B20 event. He said that "What we have to deal with is a deep systemic and structural restructuring of our world, and the world will see it differently after we go through this transition" (aka the Great Reset).
