"Did you know that that meeting [with the Deputy Minister of Public Safety] was at 3:30pm and that it was with cabinet and it was the incident response group of the political executive meeting and that your proposal was provided to them?" asked attorney Brendam Miller.
"No," answered OPP's Marcel Beaudin.
"It was, replied Miller. "I can tell you that. And then they invoked the emergencies act..."
Context: "The police made a proposal that would have resulted in ending the protest with a solution that was good for the gov, public health, and the protesters, but the gov decided to go for the emergencies act instead. That, alone, makes it an abuse of the Emergencies Act."
