New study on mRNA vaccines: The harm-benefit ratio is so devastating

A new study suggests that the serious side effects of Moderna and Pfizer's experimental mRNA vaccines outweigh their protective effects against hospitalization and death. A devastating result.

When using medicines (including vaccines), the principle usually applies that the benefits must outweigh the harm caused by unwanted side effects. In the case of the experimental mRNA Covid vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer, this means that the large number of reported (sometimes very serious) side effects should only really be accepted if they actually offer such a high level of protection against hospitalization and death from Covid-19. 19 offer, as is often claimed. But a recently published study suggests that is far from the case.

This study also has a high profile authorship from the United States (including Robert M. Kaplan of the Stanford University School of Medicine), which certainly adds to the weight of this paper. In the introduction it says:

Pfizer's and Moderna's mRNA-COVID-19 vaccines were associated with an increased risk of serious adverse events of special interest , with an absolute risk increase of 10.1 and 15.1 per 10,000 vaccinees, respectively, compared to placebo baseline values 17.6 and 42.2 (95% CI -0.4 to 20.6 and -3.6 to 33.8, respectively). Taken together, the mRNA vaccines were associated with an absolute increase in the risk of serious adverse events of 12.5 per 10,000 (95% CI 2.1 to 22.9). The increased risk of serious adverse events of special interest exceeded the risk reduction for COVID-19 hospitalization compared to placebo in both the Pfizer and Moderna studies (2.3 and 6.4 per 10,000 participants, respectively).

The study authors' verdict on the experimental mRNA vaccines (which can also be termed "gene therapies") is damning: "The increased risk of serious adverse events found in our study points to the need for formal benefit-harm analyses, particularly such ones , stratified by risk of serious COVID-19 outcomes such as hospitalization or death.” And as you can see in the tables below (you can find more detailed tables at the end of the study itself), the data is indeed staggering:

The "harm-benefit considerations" states: "In the Moderna study, the excess risk of severe AESIs (15.1 per 10,000 participants) exceeded the risk reduction for COVID-19 hospitalizations compared to the placebo group (6.4 per 10,000 participants). In the Pfizer study, the excess risk of severe AESIs (10.1 per 10,000) exceeded the risk reduction for COVID-19 hospitalization compared to the placebo group (2.3 per 10,000 participants).”

That means: Both the Moderna and the Pfizer vaccine cause significantly more serious side effects than they prevent severe Covid courses. This is such a bad "harm-benefit ratio" that further administration of these experimental mRNA vaccines would have to be stopped immediately - especially in those groups of people (i.e. virtually everyone who is younger than 60 years old and has no multiple comorbidities) who, based on the experience of the last two years, have hardly any serious risk of severe or even fatal courses of infection with SARS-CoV-2.
